A leading web development company is seeking a web developer to create and maintain responsive websites and web applications. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Collaboration with designers and stakeholders is essential, as well as a commitment to quality and continuous learning. This position offers competitive salary, health benefits, remote work options, and opportunities for professional growth.
Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other appropriate technologies.
Translate UI/UX designs or wireframes into functional user interfaces, producing clean, efficient, maintainable code.
Integrate back-end services, APIs, or databases when required (for full-stack or back-end roles).
Optimize websites for performance, speed, security, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and scalability.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues to ensure stable, high-quality functionality.
Collaborate with designers, content creators, project managers, and fellow developers to deliver cohesive web solutions.
Maintain documentation, follow version control procedures (e.g. Git), and adhere to best practices for code quality and project management.
Stay current with emerging web development trends, tools, and best practices; proactively suggest improvements or new technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience/training (e.g. coding bootcamp, self-taught with strong portfolio).
Prior experience in web development roles (for intermediate- or senior-level positions).
A portfolio of web projects (personal, freelance, open-source or professional) is often preferred, to demonstrate skills and craftsmanship.
Technical Skills & Experience
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (or equivalent modern standards).
Experience with front-end frameworks or libraries such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar (depending on project needs).
For full-stack or back-end roles: familiarity with server-side languages or frameworks (e.g. PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, etc.) and experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
Understanding of web architecture fundamentals — client-server model, APIs, routing, sessions, security, etc.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) for source code management.
Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, usability, and performance optimization.
Ability to write clean, modular, maintainable code, and a mindset for testing and quality assurance.
Strong communication skills — able to work collaboratively with designers, product people, and non-technical stakeholders, and explain technical concepts clearly.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a high standard for code quality, security, performance, and user experience.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects, meet deadlines and priorities.
Self-motivated, curious, and committed to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and trends.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team; balanced sense of ownership and collaboration.
