A logistics company seeks a Freight Forwarder in Dubai to manage the end-to-end freight forwarding operations while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The role requires 2 to 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, strong knowledge of customs clearance, and excellent negotiation skills. Candidates should hold a degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management. This position offers a dynamic work environment with various responsibilities including coordinating shipping documentation and monitoring shipments closely.
Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations including import and export shipments across GCC and international markets.
Coordinate shipping documentation, customs clearance and delivery processes to ensure timely and cost-effective cargo movement.
Handle import processes for electronic items, batteries and other commodities in compliance with UAE regulations.
Arrange export of goods to overseas destinations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to trade laws.
Negotiate with shipping lines, airlines and transport providers to secure competitive rates and reliable services.
Prepare shipping instructions, invoices, packing lists and bills of lading in compliance with international trade requirements.
Monitor shipments, track cargo movement and proactively resolve delays or issues during transit.
Maintain relationships with customs, port authorities and logistics service providers for smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, GCC rules and country‑specific import/export policies.
Provide excellent customer service by updating clients on shipment status and addressing any queries promptly.
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or a related field.
2 to 4 years of proven experience in freight forwarding, preferably in Dubai or GCC.
Strong knowledge of customs clearance, import/export documentation and shipping regulations.
Familiarity with handling electronic goods, batteries and other regulated commodities.
In-depth knowledge of GCC import/export procedures and international trade compliance.
Proficiency in using logistics and freight management systems.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with clients, vendors and authorities.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills to handle shipment delays and logistical challenges.
Attention to detail in preparing and verifying trade documents.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
