Role & Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and fixing cracks.
• Apply primers and sealers to prepare surfaces for the finishing coat.
• Painting: Select appropriate paint, stain, or other finishes according to hotel standards and specific job requirements. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the desired color and texture.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform touch‑up painting and repair work as needed. Inspect painted surfaces for flaws and take corrective action when necessary. Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with local regulations and hotel policies regarding the use and disposal of paints and chemicals. Always use appropriate PPE.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the engineering team and other departments to coordinate work and minimize disruption to hotel operations. Assist with other maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks. Report any issues or concerns to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor promptly.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with hotel guests and staff. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to painting work.

• Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
• Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and at heights.
• Must have the physical stamina and dexterity required for lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.
• Proficient in painting techniques, including brushing, rolling, and spraying.
