Job summary

A major engineering firm is seeking a Fire & Gas Designer to support design efforts for Oil & Gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role includes preparing design deliverables for Fire Detection systems and participating in client technical meetings to ensure alignment with project specifications. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire & Gas design, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of corresponding system regulations and designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire & Gas Design within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and related design software.
• Familiarity with designing Fire & Alarm Systems.

What You Will do

The Fire & Gas Designer is a key role reporting to Design Manager for Middle East Region. The Job position will be based in Abu Dhabi UAE and you will be part of Design Team and responsible for supporting for driving the growth of business for Fire & Gas System across MEA Region.

The Job Requires you to support the Design team on Fire Detection project Design for Oil & Gas Industry.

How you will do it

As a Fire & Gas Designer you will be preparing the Design Deliverables of Fire & Gas System such as Fire Detection Layouts Schematic Drawings Typical Installation Details GA/Wiring of JBs Fire Alarm Panels etc.

As a Fire & Gas Designer you will also be involved in attending the client technical meetings to understand the project requirements & ensure design deliverables are inline with the project specifications/requirements.

You will utilize your experience in providing the value addition to the Fire & Gas Design projects. You will be determining priorities of tasks and actions and schedule measures accordingly.

What we look for

• Minimum 5 years F & G Design Experience in Oil & Gas Business.
• Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCad.
• Familiar with the Design of Fire & Alarm System Fire & Gas System etc
• Must be well versed in preparing of electrical instrument and Fire and gas deliverables such as Equipment layout Lighting and small power layout Single line diagram Interconnection wiring drawings Loop drawings cable tray layout Exit Light System Typical Installation details Bill of materials cable length power calculation etc.
• Must be familiar with the GA/Wiring of Fire & Gas Panels / Fire Alarm Panels / Fire Extinguishing Panels and able to develop the Ga/Wiring of Junction Boxes/Terminal Boxes etc.
• Must have knowledge of designing the CCTV Access Control system PAGA Intruder Alarm system Radio System Leak Detection system etc.
• Must have knowledge of Designing the High sensitivity smoke detection System.
• Well versed with the NFPA 70 NFPA 72 etc
