Job description

The Senior Field Civil Engineer will oversee all civil engineering activities on a major onshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role includes supervising construction installation and quality control of civil structures to ensure compliance with project specifications ADNOC standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires extensive field experience specifically on ADNOC onshore or other significant oil and gas projects in the Middle East.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage field civil engineering activities including site preparation earthworks foundations concrete structures and road construction.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards industry regulations and project specifications for all civil works.
• Provide technical oversight and quality control for contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to design and construction requirements.
• Conduct site inspections safety audits and quality checks on civil structures and installations to ensure alignment with HSE standards and project objectives.
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to support seamless integration of civil works with other project disciplines.
• Review and validate civil engineering drawings structural designs and technical documentation confirming accuracy and project alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve civil engineering issues onsite ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout.
• Prepare field reports daily progress logs inspection records and other documentation to track project progress and ensure timely submission.
• Interface with client representatives project managers and other stakeholders to communicate project status and address any civil engineering concerns.
• Support project scheduling resource allocation and planning for civil engineering tasks to ensure project milestones are met.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 1015 years of field civil engineering experience with at least 5 years on ADNOC Onshore projects or other major oil and gas projects in the Middle East.
• Indepth knowledge of civil construction practices including foundation work earthworks concrete structures and infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings specifications and industry codes.
• Strong problemsolving skills with experience in quality assurance HSE compliance and construction management.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ACI ASTM) and ADNOC regulatory requirements related to civil works.
• Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and client representatives.
• Relevant certifications in civil engineering or project management are an advantage.
