Job description

• Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off and comparing with tender quantities
• Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyse prices, prepare material and labour cost estimation and prepare bid.
• Preparation of List of Technical Queries for Consultant clarification.
• Preparation of Project Risk Analysis report.
• Attend pre bid meetings with clients or consultants.
• Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of the project and meet the client Budget.
• Coordination with other staff to ensure that tender deadlines, procedures, and project requirements are met.
• Comprehension of local authority requirement and international standards.
• Coordinating with procurement and provide necessary technical support.

Qualifications, Experience and Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying/civil engineering or a related field.
• Computer skills – MS Office, PlanSwift and Auto CAD
• Minimum experience – 8 – 12 years as Estimator
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, to be able to talk to clients
• Specialized in Hospitality Projects/Commercial/Retail
• Good Knowledge of the Fit-Out Suppliers & Sub Contractors in local market & overseas
• Experienced in pricing Interior Fit out and Joinery

Responsibilities

• Reviewing of the Enquiries, Preparation of RFI, Getting quotes for the specified items /materials from the subcontractor/supplier.
• Estimation of Joinery works with Cost Analysis (materials, labor, logistic and other factors) based on the project specification and also preparing VE options based on the clients requirements.
• For the timber doors; Preparation of the BOQ from the floor plan based on the DCD spec for the fire rating, Jamb Size for each opening and also taking off quantities.
• Preparing BOM, Labour hours.. Estimated Budget for the Awarded Jobs..
• Knowledge and Experience of CD regulations, Green Building Regulations, LEEDS, Estidama etc.
