POSITION PURPOSE
To develop a solid operational knowledge of all engineering operational procedures and to be well acquainted with the function of other departments within the Hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Revenues, profits, cost effectiveness and ROI:
- When required, to help in preparation of the detailed specification of each element of the projects to get the full control on the cost, time and quality of the projects.
- To manage effectively the spare parts control system as well as to get the best products which suites our standards and the highest quality without affecting our cost management.
- To supervise and to coordinate the activities of workers and to control expenses.
- To maintain the equipment and tools in good order and to maintain all stores organized.
Management of Human Resources
- To show the interest in learning all available new technology and the latest products related to our values and brand standards and to be able to apply that in our hotel.
- To share in the implementation of the training programs for employees that will result in better productivity and better work environment.
- To be able to conduct the necessary technical trainings for the team, and to assure of the correct implementation and measure the results
- To conduct himself in a manner as to encourage fellow employees to do likewise.
- To be always efficient, courteous and pleasant and to show at all times a helpful attitude and never to talk in a loud voice to other employees.
Upkeep physical plants and building
- Base on various equipment specifications and operations standards to ensure that all of the equipment is efficiently running favor the smooth building operation.
- To carry out the assigned duties in order to accomplish the work requested on repair and maintenance orders as well as on work requests for building and equipment.
- To assist in performing a preventive maintenance program and to carry out these advance work orders according to the schedule.
- To submit reports to the Assistant Director of Engineering on the condition of the building and the equipment. (Timely / accurately)
Sustainable management and community activity
- To share in creation (and implementation) of energy saving plans matching with the overall Environmental policy of the hotel and 30/20 plan of Marriott.
- To have the interest on searching all the resources for getting the newest technology supportive to our energy saving plans.
- To show the interest to not only participates in the community occasions but sharing in creation the events.
Safety and security
- Follow up with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually control measure actions on the scheduled time.
- To be able to apply the control measures of the risk assessments for the various areas and operation.
- To be able to follow on the control measures of the legionella risk assessment
- To be able to perform any emergency work regarding fire, water electricity and others.
- To be part in implementation of fire prevention and evacuation procedure for guest and staff.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- To walk through the building every shift as required monitoring the condition ofthe building and equipment and file the report on each shift accurately.
- Professional in using the BMS system and to follow all the requests and work orders.
- To be well acquainted with the emergency procedures i.e. fire, bomb threat, medical and power failure and follow emergency processes.
- Able to deal efficiently and effectively with all employees and department heads. (Using our core values, Human Truths and our promises as a base line)
- Able to coach his related engineering team as required.
- His personal appearance and behavior will at all times be geared on representing the Hotel in the best way. (Using our core values, Human Truths and our promises as a base line)

EDUCATION
- Technical degree required.
