Job description

Perform engines maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision as instructed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards, and regulations.

  1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
  2. Perform basic tasks related to inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining engine components.
  3. Perform tasks related to inspection, maintenance, modification, testing, and repairing jet engines and small gas turbine engines.
  4. Assemble and disassemble engine parts prior to and post maintenance according to the standard procedures and report any malfunction to supervisor.
  5. Check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.
  6. Troubleshoot and maintain assigned components, parts, and cables.
  7. Perform tasks related to calibrating installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
  8. Perform tasks related to maintaining arresting gear and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft carrier take-off and landing operations to ensure they are working appropriately.
  9. Perform tasks related to activating airfield arresting systems, such as crash barriers and cables, during emergency landing situations according to procedures.
  10. Assist in maintaining logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
  11. Perform tasks related to identifying maintenance and troubleshooting requirements for aircraft parts such as flight control and hydraulics components, aircraft recovery.
  12. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  13. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  14. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Minimum Qualification :

Bachelor, Higher Diploma or diploma or skill level 5 certified in respective trade.

Experience

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an Airbase.

Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes.

Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures

Understanding of aircraft structure, components, troubleshooting, wiring system and functions. Etc.
