  • Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and smooth running of the catering facility.
  • Supervise and monitor all junior engineers and all engineering department operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all safe working practices and quality standards.
  • Plan stock requirements ahead of time to ensure minimum downtime of equipment.
  • Monitor and measure equipment performance to ensure optimum output at all times.

Job description
Job Purpose

The jobholder will be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and the smooth running of catering facility. The supervision and.pnl monitoring of all junior engineers and the smooth running of all engineering department operations. Ensuring the continuous functioning of the Engineering department within EKFC. Effectively accomplishing all tasks related to specialist systems/facilities management/general maintenance and fire safety.

Key Result Areas
  • Ensure adherence to all safe working practices in accordance with safety legislation. Ensuring the operational safety of all employees, equipment and assets at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality systems and Policy in accordance with ISO 9001:2001 international standards and Company Policy. Ensuring the quality standards are met by all employees at all times.
  • Ensure a timely response to breakdowns which occur under your remit.
  • Ensure the correct diagnosis and analysis of faults under your remit.
  • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns when juniors are unable to identify the problem. kako>
  • Monitor preventative maintenance programs.

  • Help carry out repairs ensuring cost effective, timely resolutions in accordance with department requirements and guidelines.

  • Oversee the maintenance of statistical, legal and financial records in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Monitor and measure equipment performance toէensure optimum output at all times.
  • Act as a role model within the department by adopting a positive attitude at all times.
  • Maintain excellent communication platforms with peers and colleagues at all times.
  • Propose and implement improvements to work procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience

Education Qualification:

  • An engineering Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a recognized body.

Work Experience:

  • 6 years of relevant experience in either a Catering, Facilities or Project Management environment.
  • Sound knowledge / experience in Engineering Legislation with strong exposure to Quality standards and Safety system practices.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team.
