Time Out Dubai is looking for a brilliant creative and dynamic Editor with multi-platform experience to oversee the creation of its content across digital, social, print and events. You must have a demonstrable passion for editorial innovation, a strong understanding of digital best practice, a keen eye for witty creative covers, and experience managing, motivating and mentoring a team in a fast-moving environment. This role is based in ITP Media Groups Media City HQ in Dubai.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the overall production execution and management of Time Out Dubai across digital, print, video and social products and platforms and dedicated airport monthly Time Out DXB.
- Manage, motivate and mentor an editorial team; work with other Editors within the Group to make sure goals and projects are aligned and maintain a strong working relationship with the commercial team.
- Drive Time Out Dubai to achieve audience growth targets on digital and social platforms.
- Set content strategy and plan editorial calendar across digital, print, video, audio and social.
- Edit, proof and publish Time Out Dubai’s daily digital content ensuring stories are on brand, on time and contribute to daily content quotas and audience targets.
- Lead the ideation and development of creative covers across Time Out Dubai’s stable of weekly, monthly and seasonal print products.
- In partnership with Time Out Group Food Editor lead Time Out Dubai’s annual Awards processes and seasonal calendar of events.
- Determine what medium is best suited for a particular content piece and commission internal and/or external writers, producers, designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, product managers, etc. To make it live on deadline and on budget.
- Ensure all content reflects Time Out’s overall content / editorial strategy standards, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
- Act as an ambassador for Time Out in the city, developing strong relationships in the market and maintaining a robust network of contacts.
- Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; be the first to identify the next big thing.
- Undertake reviews and attend events outside of office hours.
KEY SKILLS
- Fluent in web analytics software (GA4, Chartbeat, etc).
- Ability to produce flawless editorial copy filled with personality but with search optimisation front-of-mind.
- Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practice.
- Data-driven but understands that brand longevity wins every time.
- Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
- The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
- A strong industry reputation (preferred).
- Flexibility and a professional approach always.
- Fluent English.
