A global investment firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director of Business Development to expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa. The role involves managing client relationships and driving growth strategies. abrdn covers its Middle East & African clients from its regional office in Abu Dhabi, where this role is based.
As the Director of Business Development you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding abrdn’s presence in the Middle East & Africa region. This includes strengthening existing client relationships, developing new opportunities and driving strategic initiatives to achieve growth.
Within this role you will build and manage a number of abrdn’s client relationships in Kuwait and across the Middle East & Africa region.
Business Development
Develop a deep understanding of abrdn’s investment products to effectively engage a diverse client base and showcase abrdn’s investment capabilities.
Identify growth opportunities and drive initiatives that align with regional and organizational goals.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor matching client investment needs with tailored propositions and product offerings.
Develop long‑term partnerships with clients to ensure satisfaction and enhance retention.
Oversee the management of relationships with key clients to support business growth and achieve targeted outcomes.
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement strategies to secure new growth opportunities.
Prepare specific business plans for Kuwait and proposals aimed at maximizing growth.
Knowledge of the Kuwait investment landscape.
Experience developing and implementing strategies to secure new growth opportunities.
Experience developing long‑term partnerships with clients to ensure satisfaction and enhance retention.
Ability to provide accurate and actionable management reporting for internal stakeholders.
