DHA / DOH Consultant Paediatrics- General in Dubai United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Workplace Doctors | Dubai, Emirate of Dubai, UAE. Fixed‑term / permanent basis. Salary AED 70,000 – 82,035 per month. Start ASAP.

Position Overview

This role offers an opportunity to join a forward‑thinking clinic dedicated to exceptional patient care. The consultant will work across clinics, wards, and inpatient & outpatient departments, sharing on‑call duties and supervising junior staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care in clinics and hospital wards.
  • Deliver consultation services across in‑ and out‑patient departments, sharing on‑call duties as per schedule.
  • Supervise assistant and associate consultants, support junior physicians and interns.
  • Participate in development and operation of Clinical Directorate structure.
  • Collect and produce data for service planning and delivery.
  • Ensure duties adhere to policies and minimise delays.
  • Review Clinical Directorate Service Plan periodically.
  • Provide consultation for patients referred by other consultants.
  • Ensure medical cover availability, complying with Working Time Directive.
  • Supervise diagnosis, treatment and care provided by non‑consultant doctors.
  • Participate in selection of junior doctors and staff.
  • Engage in clinical audit and risk management.
  • Assist in periodic review of Clinical Director's determinations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 3‑4 years post‑fellowship experience.
  • Registration: DHA (Dubai Health Authority) OR DOH Department of Health – Essential or in process of obtaining.
  • UK – CCST, CCT or GMC Specialist Registration.
  • Ireland – CCST, CCT or IMC Specialist Registration.
  • Canada – Fellowship of the Royal Colleges.
  • Australia – Fellowship of the Royal Colleges.
  • South Africa – Fellowship of Specialty Colleges.
  • USA – American Board certification.
  • Fluency in English; competence in other languages is a distinct asset.
