Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Design & Development Engineer – Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, with 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in the design, development, and quality assurance of electrical and mechanical systems. A strong preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in HVAC – Air Duct Heater product development.

The role involves full ownership of product lifecycle activities, including type testing, certification support, design optimization, and process improvement, while ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have a passion for engineering innovation, lean practices, and problem‑solving, with demonstrated expertise in using advanced design tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of HVAC air duct heaters, including concept design, prototyping, validation, and release.

Conduct and coordinate type testing and third‑party certifications to meet industry compliance.

Drive cost‑effective design improvements without compromising product performance or safety.

Optimize product design for manufacturing efficiency, quality improvement, and customer performance expectations.

Work closely with QA teams to manage CAPA, root cause analysis, and quality audits.

Support risk analysis (DFMEA) and ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.

Implement ISO 9001 standards and contribute to internal process enhancements.

Assist in developing design documentation, BOMs, test reports, and revision control.

Provide technical support to production, procurement, and testing teams during the product development phase.

Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance workflow and reduce waste.

Use project management tools such as MS Project to track progress, resource allocation, and deadlines.

Core Competencies & Technical Skills:

Systems Thinking for product and process optimization

Expertise in Quality Systems, CAPA, DFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis

Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance

Proficient in Visual Basic (Excel Macros) for data automation and analysis

Design & drafting software proficiency:

Autodesk Inventor

SolidWorks

AutoCAD

Project scheduling and tracking using MS Project

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

A mindset focused on continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration
