Join our dynamic team at BlackStone eIT as a Data Governance Specialist. In this role, you will be pivotal in establishing and enforcing data governance frameworks and policies that ensure our data is accurate, secure, and used responsibly across the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including IT, compliance, and business teams, to develop data governance strategies and enhance data quality. Responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., data privacy, data protection, and information security standards).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
  • Experience with data domains such as Master Data, Reference Data, Transactional Data, and Metadata management.
  • Strong knowledge of data classification, data ownership, stewardship models, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience defining and enforcing data quality rules, metrics, monitoring processes, and remediation workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., data catalogs, data quality tools, metadata management solutions).
  • Ability to translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into data governance policies, controls, and processes.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics environments.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, APIs, and data exchange between ERP, HCM, CRM, and third‑party systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience reviewing data models, data flows, and reconciliation reports.
  • Experience designing dashboards and reports for data quality, data compliance, and governance KPIs.
  • Proven experience collaborating with IT, Business, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to align data governance objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Ability to work in a cross‑functional, multi‑location environment with diverse data owners and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills, including policy drafting and SOP development.
  • Experience in post‑implementation governance operations, continuous improvement, audits, and regulatory assessments.
