Data Center Portfolio Manager - 100%(m / f)

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of mission‑critical data center infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee multi‑disciplinary engineering teams, manage external consultants / contractors, and ensure all data center facilities meet the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure engineers. Manage external design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure high‑quality and on‑time delivery. Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless handover and maintainability of facilities.
• Design & Engineering: Oversee the design and implementation of Tier III / Tier IV data center infrastructure (power, cooling, fire protection, security, and structured cabling). Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications. Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of data center projects from concept to commissioning. Develop budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for capital projects. Ensure alignment between design, cost, and operational performance targets.
• Operations & Reliability: Implement best practices for energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational resilience. Oversee testing and commissioning of systems (power, cooling, fire protection, automation). Support root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in data center design, delivery, or operations.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy strategies, and data center standards.
• Proven track record managing cross‑functional teams and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in GCC / Middle East region is highly desirable (for local context).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in project management tools and engineering design software.
• Problem‑solving mindset with focus on resilience and innovation.
