Job Overview

We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Dubai to support ongoing oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking controlling and forecasting project costs across different project phases.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and update cost reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for internal and client reporting.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to gather data and ensure accuracy of cost information.
  • Support in the development and maintenance of project cost control procedures, processes, and tools.
  • Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates, cash flow forecasts, and financial progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and company policies related to cost control.
  • Participate in monthly project review meetings and provide input on cost performance.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in cost control for oil and gas projects, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in cost control software/tools such as Primavera (P6), Excel (Advanced), and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be immediately available and located in the UAE or able to join on short notice.
