Job description

Job Purpose
Manage a portfolio of commodity corporate clients to ensure their individual needs are fulfilled by providing specialist financial advice and transactional support to achieve the business targets assigned for the team.


Key Result Areas

  1. Profile existing energy corporate clients in order to identify investment preferences and thus introduce clients to appropriate new products and services.
  2. Identify and establish new relationships within the respective sectors as assigned by the team leader, consistent with the Bank's commercial objectives, so that Bank's market share is maximized.
  3. Hold meetings with portfolio clients at their premises on a regular basis to ensure that they are introduced to a wide variety of Bank's products and services in order to maximize portfolio revenues and ensure that customers are satisfied with the service that they receive.
  4. Liaise with product specialists from the relevant teams where appropriate to leverage business development with the client. Structure trade finance deals for clients based on their requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in a business or commercially related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a banking environment in UAE.
  3. Well-developed credit/financial/market analysis skills.
  4. Good understanding of economic conditions within UAE and globally.
  5. Detailed knowledge of credit proposal processes and procedures.
  6. Sound understanding of all relevant Central Bank of UAE/Gulf regulations.
  7. In-depth awareness of competitor products/services.
  8. Sound knowledge of investor risk theory so that appropriate new product/service recommendations are made to clients.
  9. Written and spoken fluency in Arabic and English languages.
  10. Professional banking programmes covering cash flow analysis and advance credit.
