We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on corporate matters, ensure regulatory compliance, draft and review contracts, and support business operations by mitigating legal risks. This role demands strong negotiation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, contracts, and regulatory compliance.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the companys interests.

  • Conduct legal due diligence for business transactions and corporate restructuring.

  • Advise management on legal risks and implications related to business activities and strategic decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations.

  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate legal support as required.

  • Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the companys operations.

  • Support dispute resolution processes and manage litigation cases when necessary.

  • Assist in the preparation of corporate policies and internal compliance programs.

  • Provide training and guidance on legal issues to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. A Masters degree or LLM is an advantage.

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial law, contract law, and relevant regulations.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • High ethical standards and confidentiality.
