Job Title: Conventional Lathe Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Conventional Lathe Operators to handle machining operations for producing high-precision components as per engineering specifications. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in operating manual/conventional lathes reading technical drawings and ensuring quality machining with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up conventional/manual lathes to machine metal and non-metal components as per job specifications.


• Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and work orders to determine machining requirements.


• Perform accurate measurements using micrometres vernier callipers and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.


• Select appropriate cutting tools feeds and speeds to achieve desired finish and tolerance levels.


• Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication and cleanliness of equipment.


• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.


• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company quality procedures.


• Maintain daily production logs and report any deviations or issues to supervisors.


• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and timelines.

Essential Qualifications:

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Tool & Die Making or equivalent.


• 2 years of hands-on experience in conventional lathe operations in a manufacturing/engineering setup.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Skills Required:
