Qualifications

Job description
About The Position

INTECH Process Automation & Intelligence is seeking a skilled Control System Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and engineering support for control and automation systems, including DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design reviews for Control System evolution and upgrade activities (DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC).
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW), Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, and technical specifications for system upgrade and replacement projects.
  • Conduct technical evaluation of vendor bids, coordinate clarifications, and recommend technically compliant solutions.
  • Review detailed engineering documents, such as system architecture, I / O lists, cause & effect charts, logic diagrams, and interface drawings.
  • Supervise and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for system integration, migration planning, and implementation while minimizing production downtime.
  • Maintain as-built documentation, system backups, and configuration control.
  • Provide troubleshooting and operational support for existing systems when required.
Systems in Scope
  • DCS : Yokogawa CENTUM VP, Honeywell Experion
  • PLC : Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley)
  • SCADA / RTU Systems : Experience with remote data acquisition, RTU configuration, and integration with central control systems.
  • Familiarity with systems from multiple OEMs including Yokogawa, Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in control and automation systems within the oil & gas industry, preferably with offshore operations exposure.
  • Proven experience in DCS / PLC / SCADA system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet / IP, Profibus).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and report‑writing skills.
