Job description
Overview

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating key communications functions for Al Ghurair and works closely with the Group Communications Manager to develop and execute communications strategies, goals and objectives for Al Ghurair and its associated companies.

Main Accountabilities
  • Maintain professional and friendly communications as the first point of call for general external enquiries and correspondence.
  • Receive and coordinate incoming correspondence (telephone and email), including collecting and distributing mail.
  • Arrange meetings and prepare the MOMs.
  • Assist with planning, coordination and support roll-out of any Communications/ CSR programs and events.
  • Coordinate Group communications projects and CSR programs, review and validate logistical and tactical elements.
  • Assist the Group Communications Manager in the development and execution of the strategic media plan.
  • Proactively explore news angles that would position the Group and its companies in a positive light, monitor media for Group news and analyze industry trends and dispatch media clipping to relevant business units and alert them on pertinent industry issues.
Educational Qualifications
  • BA in Communications, Public or Media Relations, Journalism or related experience
  • Fluent in Spoken and Written Arabic
  • Superior writing and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Design/layout experience - power point, email announcements etc
Relevant Experience
  • 3-4 years in a similar role
