Job summary

A global engineering firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a sales professional to manage customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships in various industries such as oil & gas, chemical, power and water, Pulp & Paper, F&B.
  • Capable to support install and troubleshooting mechanical seals and other John Crane products at customer site with minimum required technical guidance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and aim to create new and lasting ones.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry to delivery and aftersales support while providing technical support and clarifications.
  • Discuss and support the negotiation of contract terms and tenders while managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Record and accurately maintain customer information and opportunity data in CRM (C4C).
  • Assure correspondence flow and proper communication of John Crane Abu Dhabi office with suppliers, customers, distributors and local authorities.
  • Assist Finance in resolving payment issues in case of product discrepancies or inaccurate invoices.
  • Provide technical support to customers/distributors and prepare notifications for noncompliances when and if required while meeting or exceeding sales targets and main KPIs.
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly or weekly sales plans, prioritise and deliver accurate order forecasts.
  • Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self and others within the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with the applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations received from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
Qualifications

Education/Training: University degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical or Industrial) or proven experience to support all the required tasks with minimum supervision.

Experience: Desirable: 5 years of professional experience in technical and commercial fields. Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.

Knowledge/Skills: Commercial knowledge in a proactive multinational and multicultural environment.

Strong technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio or similar industry. Knowledge on pumps and compressors is a plus. Knowledge of oil & gas, petrochemical and general industries. Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.

Languages: Fluent in English. Arabic will be an advantage.

Other Requirements
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client site inspections aiming business development.
  • Valid driver’s license.
