Responsibilities

• Monitor structural works for conformance with contract documents.
• Review and process all structural technical submittals.
• Assist in supervising all structural activities and operations.
• Review contractors' structural change order proposals.
• Liaise with necessary sub consultants.
• Review contractors claims related to structural works.
• Inspect completed works and monitor startup testing.
• Sign off on completed structural works.

Stantec is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project in Ras Al Khaimah.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
• Reviewing approving and processing all structural technical submittals.
• Answering RFIs related to Structure and Architecture.
• Assist in supervising the work of all structural activities and operations maintaining progress records and reporting.
• Reviewing contractors structural change order proposals and preparing recommendations to Structural PM.
• Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
• Reviewing contractors claims related to structural works and preparing recommendations for claims.
• Reviewing the contractors project record documents relevant to their discipline.
• Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the startup testing commissioning and handover of the structural works.
• Signing off on completed structural works with completed documentation and maintaining the required record.
• Perform all other duties given by the Resident Engineer

Qualifications and Preferred Specifications:

• Minimum Ten 10 years experience in Civil/Structural engineering with international consultant firms and with five 5 years in the UAE/Middle East.
• Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent HSE knowledge and awareness.
• Excellent local Authority knowledge and experience.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions.
