Overview
Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained Chief Medical Officer / Consultant Psychiatrist (Addiction) for their client in Dubai which is a cutting edge drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
Compensation
Salary: AED 120,000 per month plus family benefits. Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative. The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and administrative leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient patient care.
- Formulate and review organizational policies and procedures related to healthcare delivery, ethical standards, and the use of controlled medications.
- Oversee all clinical activities and services, developing and implementing patient care policies, practice protocols, and guidelines to ensure alignment with the latest evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
- Provide direct psychiatric or medical services to a small caseload of clients, conducting exams and treating illnesses within the scope of practice.
- Ensure integration of behavioral health (including addiction services) with primary care and other medical services to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and risk management strategies, including participation in peer review and analyzing clinical data and outcomes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all medical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical directors.
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the executive leadership team to develop and execute the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluation of all medical and clinical staff, fostering a culture of professional development.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission).
- Act as the primary liaison between the administration and medical staff, representing the organization in community events, professional associations, and with external stakeholders like government agencies and insurance companies.
- Participate in development and management of the medical department's budget, resources, and inventory, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Western trained Consultant Psychiatrists with a leadership role, preferably Chief Medical Officer within a large addiction rehab facility.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience.
- Experience in a C-suite role required; Consultant Psychiatrists without such experience will not qualify for this position.
