Job summary

A maritime company based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the Engine Department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all machinery on board. The ideal candidate will have previous sea service on tankers, relevant certifications, and a strong grasp of tanker machinery and cargo systems. Responsibilities include leading the engine department and directly reporting to the Master. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic marine environment.

Qualifications

• Must have previous sea service as Chief Engineer or First Engineer on tankers.
• Experience with tanker machinery and cargo-related systems is essential.
• Familiarity with dry-docking and major repairs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engine Department in safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain all machinery and engineering systems on board.
• Report directly to the Master.

Skills

Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency

Valid Tanker Endorsement
