About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef De Partie to join the Culinary department in Jumeirah Saadiyat Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Arabic dishes such as kebabs, mezze, tagines, rice dishes, grilled meats, and breads.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of all dishes leaving the kitchen in line with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Assist in menu development and recommend new dishes based on Arabic culinary traditions.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and minimize wastage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
  • Adapt recipes to dietary requirements when necessary without compromising authentic flavors.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
  • In-depth knowledge of Arabic cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes.
  • Expert in food quality and presentation skills.
  • Expert in hygiene, health and safety know-how.
  • Expert management of multi cuisine kitchens with show cooking.
