JOB TITLE

Chef de Partie | MAF Retail | Hypermarket UAE

ROLE SUMMARY

Chef de Partie is tasked with leading and supervising the quality and quantity of the food offered, coordinating the production as it relates to the Central Kitchen.

ROLE PROFILE
  • Monitor portion control and waste to optimize costs, actively promoting awareness on waste material usage and efficiency.
  • Train and communicate with staff on products, processes, menus, ingredients, and equipment in the operational area regularly.
  • Manage resource allocations (material, staff, and equipment) logically and effectively to deliver desired department outputs.
  • Propose, define, and implement proactive cost reduction measures, serving as a bridge between seniors and the team for issue/idea cascade and escalation.
  • Train and guide the team to schedule and prioritize work, avoiding delays or quality concerns and accommodating reasonable late orders or changes.
  • Follow executive or sous chef guidance and contribute to new ways of presentation or dishes.
  • Audit food storeroom items to maintain consistent quality products.
  • Adhere to and apply all applicable systems and procedures in accordance with company policies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred or diploma / Degree in Hotel management.
  • 3+ years of related culinary experience, at restaurants, hotels.
  • Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation.
  • Strong communication skills; Working knowledge of automated machines in kitchen.
  • Effective delegation skills; Problem solving and decision-making ability in real time.
  • Strong planning skills; Willingness to learn, adapt.
