Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Buyer to join the team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.

Responsibilities

• Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best terms and cost for materials and services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services
• Review and analyze purchase requisitions, identify potential cost savings, and select the most appropriate suppliers
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor and track supplier performance, resolving any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met and projects are completed on time
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and participate in supplier performance improvement initiatives
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve profitability
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (BE/Btech preferred)
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC processes
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating with suppliers and achieving cost savings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Knowledge of contract management and legal terms
• Willingness to travel as needed
