Job description

The Buyer Acquisition Manager is responsible for directly selling the value of the exhibition to senior German buyers and converting them into confirmed attendees. Embedded within the Delegates Team, this role owns outbound outreach, qualification and close of high-value buyers against clear acquisition targets.

Requirements
  • Own outbound acquisition of senior buyers and decision-makers across Germany
  • Build and manage targeted buyer pipelines by sector and seniority
  • Conduct high-volume, high-quality outreach in German (calls, email, LinkedIn)
  • Pitch VIP, hosted buyer and curated meeting programmes with a clear conversion mindset
  • Qualify buyers against agreed criteria and close attendance commitments
  • Drive registrations from first contact to confirmed attendance
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and conversion tracking in CRM
  • Work to weekly and monthly acquisition targets and report performance
  • Coordinate closely with the Delegates Team to prioritise high-value buyer segments
Requirements
  • Native or fluent German; strong professional English
  • 4–7 years’ experience in outbound sales, delegate sales, business development or B2B events
  • Proven ability to sell to senior decision-makers (C-suite, directors, heads of function)
  • Confident closer with strong objection-handling skills
  • Comfortable working with targets, KPIs and conversion rates
  • Highly organised with strong follow-up discipline
Nice to Have
  • Experience selling VIP or hosted buyer programmes
  • Existing network of German enterprise or public-sector buyers
  • Background in tech, AI, cloud, digital transformation or cybersecurity
