Business Development Manager (Facility Management)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to spearhead our efforts in expanding our reach and enhancing our business relationships within the Facility Management (FM) industry. Core Responsibilities
- Maintain and cultivate current client relationships while actively seeking out opportunities for new partnerships.
- Initiate contact with potential clients to establish and nurture business relationships, arranging meetings to discuss potential collaborations.
- Identify and develop new sales areas within the FM industry, employing various methods to enhance sales performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, leveraging this knowledge to create new business opportunities and expand our market presence.
- Collaborate closely with sales and design teams to ensure alignment with sales targets and profit goals.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior sales staff to enhance their performance and achieve sales objectives.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our company's products/services, as well as our competitive positioning, to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Manage inputs from key stakeholders across departments, including sales, marketing, product, finance, legal, and project management, to ensure cohesive and effective business strategies.
- Develop clear win strategies for each bid, ensuring compelling win themes and effective resolution of technical, strategic, and business issues.
- Prepare and review commercial aspects of bids, ensuring all products/services are accurately included in customer pricing.
- Track and mitigate risks throughout the bid process, maintaining compliance and commercial viability.
- Contribute to the preparation of written proposals, providing guidance on content and presentation, including executive summaries.
- Manage bid budgets, monitoring performance against KPIs and ensuring on‑time submission of compliant bids.
- Coordinate client presentations as required during bid submissions, ensuring a cohesive and compelling pitch.
- Drive continuous improvement through post‑bid reviews, both internally and with customers.
