Job summary

A leading company in construction is seeking a skilled Electrical BIM Modeler to create accurate BIM models for electrical systems in various projects. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, over 5 years of experience in drafting electrical works, and expertise in BIM software like Revit and Navisworks. Effective communication skills and a detail-oriented approach are essential. This is a long-term opportunity with immediate joiners preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical BIM Modeler to join our team. As an Electrical BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for electrical systems in various construction projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical designs are integrated seamlessly into the overall building design.

Responsibilities

1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in drafting of electrical works in consultant companies.
2. Professional and expert user for Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Professional and expert user for Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
3. Clash detection & Clash report communication to the design team
4. Multiple Revit model coordination
5. Preparation of Design drawings such as Lighting, Power, Containments Layouts, Lightning Protection, Earthing Layout, Fire Alarm,
6. Preparation of Cable Tray/Trunking sizing, containment coordination & MEP coordination.
7. Responsible for detailing schematics and assisting engineers with problem-solving and Co-ordination with other services Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Plumbing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Modeler with a focus on electrical systems in construction projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and other related tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) are desirable.
