If you\'re inspired by purpose and motivated to be part of a global team shaping the future of aviation and travel, we’d love to have you onboard.

In this role, you will safely and efficiently plan and manage daily baggage operations, including the build-up and breakdown of arrival, transfer, and departure baggage. • Continuously review opportunities to maximise availability and utilisation of assets and resources across Airside Operations to manage cost effectiveness.
  • Deliver savings through the implementation of optimal task allocation, process efficiency, and improved resource management.
  • Be responsible for the on-time deployment of resources (people and equipment) to execute the baggage process to agreed time, quality, and cost.
  • Lead regular reviews of task start and end times and resource utilisation as part of the plan–control–review cycle and continuous improvement.
  • Be responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of inspection, audit, and maintenance are carried out within the area, with action plans in place for any areas of non-compliance or risk.
  • Ensure the safety of staff by supporting and developing a culture where all people working in the Baggage department possess the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely, feel respected, and are engaged in helping everyone stay safe.
  • Role model desired safe behaviours, wear appropriate PPE, lead with safety, seek opportunities to celebrate successes and achievements, and challenge others when risks are observed.
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day baggage process, ensuring timely delivery against defined SLAs and within cost for baggage build-up, breakdown, and associated activities, supported by robust methods to measure performance.
  • Be responsible for identifying areas that are under-performing or at risk and taking the necessary actions through targeted action plans.
  • Work with other managers and the baggage community to identify recurring trends or issues that are impacting, or at risk of impacting, the operation, and seek innovative ways to address these.
  • Present relevant annual budget information relating to resource and CAPEX requirements to the Manager Baggage and Cargo Logistics and Manager Airside Support.
