Role: Manage in cooperation with the Production Manager the full compliance of company quality standards and governmental regulations guaranteeing that the finished product reaches the warehouse in the most efficient way at the scheduled time, in the scheduled amount and with the right quality. Manage the production processes to enhance the product quality and maximize the efficiency. Responsible for the operations of the assigned area in terms of production, Safety, quality, planning, organizing, and tracking of production activities and continuous improvement of the department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Manufacturing shift team optimizing the effectiveness of each member based on their capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to the Manufacturing shift team to achieve the individual-, team-, and Manufacturing department goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to the production schedule, delivering the products on time in full.
- Work as a member of the plant team to maintain and improve the operation.
- Communicate in a timely fashion with the relevant departments any production issues in order to minimize losses and interruptions.
- Manage in cooperation with the QC department any quality deviations in the production.
- Manage in cooperation with the Maintenance department any breakdowns or preventive maintenance.
- Manage in cooperation the Planning department any deviations from the schedule.
- Keeping all production related documentation organized and up to date.
- Assist the Production Manager preparing the annual production and capex budget and ensure adherence to the budget throughout the year.
- Optimizing the product losses to ensure most effective cost control and uninterrupted Operation.
- Provides training and organized OJT.
- Ensures all machines are fully functional and coordinates with the factory maintenance team to resolve issues, if any and schedule PMs.
- Ensure the production staff working on the floor are adhering to the safety procedures and SOP’s defined by the company. Conduct toolbox talks for safety related topics to improve the awareness of the staff.
- Report the incidents happening inside the production hall for investigation purpose.
- Compliance with all regulatory Food safety standards.
- Ensures all machines are Optimized.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant occupational safety and health, standards and policies within the organization to promote a safe working environment for all employees and others.
- Should follow all the quality and food safety standards and policies implemented time to time by the company.
Skills and Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technologist, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology or Equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in Dairy/Food/Beverage manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
- Skills of audit preparation and closing CAPA.
- Good knowledge in Dairy techology
- Good Manufacturing Practice & GHP
- ISO and HACCP
- Project control and cost estimating techniques.
- RCA and DMAIC trouble shooting techniques.
- MS Office / ERP/SAP system
