Description
Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and work programs for substation projects.
- Support execution of projects in line with contract scope, specifications, and approved timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure alignment with project plans.
Cost & Budget Control
- Support preparation and monitoring of project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Assist in tracking project expenditures, variations, and claims.
- Coordinate with QS/Project Control teams for cost reporting and payment applications.
Schedule & Progress Monitoring
- Track project progress against approved baseline schedules.
- Identify delays, risks, and corrective actions in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Contract & Stakeholder Management
- Support contract administration activities, including correspondence and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in managing subcontractor performance and deliverables.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
- Ensure project activities comply with company QHSE policies and client requirements.
- Support implementation of approved method statements, risk assessments, and ITPs.
- Participate in site inspections, audits, and safety meetings.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper project documentation, logs, and records.
- Assist in preparation of technical submittals, method statements, and project reports.
- Support project close-out activities including as-built drawings and handover documents.
Risk & Issue Management
- Assist in identifying project risks and mitigation measures.
- Escalate critical issues to the Project Manager with proposed solutions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Civil Engineering.
Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in substation projects (AIS/GIS) within EPC or utility environments.
- Prior experience in GCC projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of substation construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
- Understanding of contracts (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage).
