Role Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor in Business to deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development and academic quality, engage in scholarly research, and actively support student success. The role is aligned with CAA standards, institutional policies, and best practices in higher education.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Business in accordance with approved curricula and CAA standards.
- Develop detailed course outlines, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials aligned with programme learning outcomes.
- Implement innovative, student-centred teaching and assessment strategies to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate course files, assessment records, and academic documentation as required by CAA and institutional guidelines.
Curriculum Development & Academic Quality
- Contribute to curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in programme reviews, accreditation preparation, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with academic policies, assessment regulations, and academic integrity standards.
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Maintain an active research agenda with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, where applicable.
- Engage in research collaborations, conferences, and other scholarly activities.
- Adhere to institutional research ethics and integrity policies.
Student Support & Academic Advising
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students.
- Monitor student performance and provide timely, constructive academic feedback.
- Participate in assessment, moderation, and evaluation processes.
- Address academic matters in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
Service & Academic Leadership
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and institutional committees.
- Support academic planning and institutional development initiatives.
- Mentor junior faculty members and contribute to professional development activities.
- Participate in community engagement and outreach initiatives, where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Earned PhD in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Minimum 7–10 years of academic experience in higher education, in line with institutional policy.
- Proven record of research publications reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated experience teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Familiarity with CAA standards, accreditation, and quality assurance processes.
- Evidence of effective teaching practices and strong student engagement.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the UAE higher education system.
- Postgraduate research supervision experience.
- Experience in curriculum leadership or academic coordination roles.
