About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join the Butlers’ team in Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Responsible for assisting Butlers Manager in overseeing and engaging in day-to-day operation of the department thus ensuring all service standards and deliverables are met in line with standard protocols and they are followed in courteous yet professional manner aiming to provide delightful services to all guests
  • Maintains open line of communication and ensures guest complaints and feedback are handled effectively and efficiently by supervising team leaders/butlers, delegating responsibilities, and liaising with other related departments. Keep Butlers manager informed on key decisions and escalations
  • Leads, motivates & continuously develops the Butler Team to maximize colleague productivity, departmental revenue, guest satisfaction & department COS scores
  • Conducts regular quality checks on the floor receptions and butlers’ pantries to ensure standards & consistency are always maintained to the highest level. Report inconsistencies and suggest measures and action plan to Butler’s manager to improve standards
  • Responsible for overseeing all arrangements associated with VIP guest/customer arrivals and inspection of VIP Suites as needed
  • Ensures that the team adhere to all hotel and company standards, Business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health & Safety policies, Butler’s Grooming standards, punctuality/ attendance procedures and Quality standards
About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant role within the international luxury hospitality industry in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English, with knowledge of an additional language.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or any other relevant field.
