Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the finance function of our manufacturing and trading operations in the UAE. The role involves day-to-day accounting activities, inventory accounting support, VAT compliance assistance, and coordination with internal teams under the supervision of the Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post accounting entries for purchases, sales, expenses, and journals
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable records
• Assist in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and production-related entries
• Support preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
• Assist in UAE VAT compliance, including VAT returns, reconciliations, and documentation
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
• Maintain proper filing of accounting records and supporting documents
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for accurate financial reporting
• Support internal and external audits as required
• Perform other accounting tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
• Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations
• Experience with accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, ERP systems preferred)
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel
• Attention to detail with good analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in inventory and cost accounting
• Familiarity with production and BOM-related accounting
