Job summary

A leading design and construction consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector to conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project standards. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in the UAE, particularly on large-scale developments. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, identifying nonconforming works, and participating in inspections. Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and excellent communication skills are essential. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an Architectural Inspector with a design consultancy background.
  • Proven experience on large-scale commercial, residential or mixed-use developments in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, architectural standards and finishing materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and reporting skills.
  • Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor and verify architectural works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications and project standards.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, local regulations and quality standards throughout all stages of construction.
  • Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, mockups and method statements.
  • Identify nonconforming works and issue site observations/NCRs, following up on corrective actions.
  • Inspect and verify architectural finishes including masonry, cladding, waterproofing, joinery, false ceilings, paintwork, tiling and other interior works.
  • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors and site teams to ensure multitrade integration and avoid clashes.
  • Participate in snagging and desnagging inspections, including preparation of punch lists and ensuring timely closure of items.
  • Attend site meetings with contractors, consultants and client representatives to ensure all inspections and records are properly documented and filed.
