Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced projects and corporate transactional bilingual Arabic/English paralegal for a US law firm in Dubai.
Requirements are:
Corporate/Commercial (also applies to finance)
• Arabic and English translations (including reviewing translation service provider mark-ups);
• Liaising with Government authorities in-person, by phone & by email (in Arabic);
• Preparation of board resolutions and powers of attorney (in English and Arabic);
• Running CP processes, finalising documents for execution and arranging signature pages (transactions), following up for originals and assisting with the preparation of closing bible;
• Preparing steps plans for corporate governance actions with local authorities for clients in all free zones and onshore (commercial); and
• Carrying out notarisation processes with private notary (including preparing underlying documents, making amendments pursuant to notary recommendations in both English and Arabic and conducting calls between the notary and the client).
Projects
• strong document management / CP skills;
• excellent word processing / formatting skills;
• strong attention to detail for proof reading tasks;
• previous transactional experience (not just litigious) is essential;
• general understanding of legal review of documents, including:
1. how do defined terms work; and
2. the interpretation section.
