Overview

Job Title: Application Tester – Manual Testing

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (as applicable)

Nationality: UAE National (Emirati) – Mandatory

Reporting To: Test Lead / QA Manager / IT Applications Manager

Job Purpose

The Application Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of banking applications through comprehensive manual testing. The role focuses on validating functional, regression, and user acceptance requirements across core banking, digital, and internal enterprise applications, ensuring compliance with Invest Bank’s quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Perform manual functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing for banking applications
• Execute test cases and document results clearly and accurately
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps or similar)
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve defects
• Participate in UAT support, including test execution, coordination with business users, and sign-off activities
• Ensure testing aligns with banking regulations, compliance standards, and internal IT governance
• Prepare and maintain test documentation including:
• Test Plans
• Test Cases
• Test Execution Reports
• Defect Reports
• Support release cycles and production readiness activities
• Adhere to QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the QA function

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Manual Application Testing
• Prior experience in Banking or Financial Services environment is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of:
  • SDLC & STLC
  • Functional and Regression Testing
  • UAT processes
• Experience testing:
  • Web applications
  • Internal enterprise systems
  • Digital or banking platforms (advantage)
• Proficiency in test case design techniques and defect lifecycle management
