Job summary

A leading software solutions provider is looking for an experienced APIC Developer for their UAE operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SOA development, specifically within the Banking or Financial industry. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing APIs using IBM API Connect, ensuring security and performance standards, and managing the full API lifecycle. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in relevant roles and be proficient in various integration protocols and tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in SOA development activities, with 2-4 years in a similar role in Banking/Financial industry.
• Experience in Banking SOA Delivery methodology and SOA best practices.
• Knowledge of Banking Service standards such as ISO8583.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, and meet performance standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation.

We are currently looking for APIC Developer for our UAE operations with the following Skill set and terms & conditions.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge

• Certification in IIB v10 & MQ v9.1
• Hands on experience API Connect Data power
• J2EE Application
• MQ Explorer SOAP UI RFUtils
• Websphere Service Repository & Registry Server
• DB Design with experience in Oracle & MS SQL

Experience

• Minimum 5 7 years of experience in SOA development activities of which minimum 2-4 years should be in a similar role in Banking / Financial industry.

Role Purpose

Must have experience of Banking SOA Delivery methodology SOA Center of excellence and implementation of SOA best practices. Knowledge of Banking Service standards such as ISO8583 IFX Open Bank Project ISO20022 and SWIFT.

Core Service design & API development

• Design, develop and implement APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Ensure APIs are scalable secure and meet performance standards.
• Proficiency in building RESTful services XML/JSON using IBM API Connect.
• Have worked on API Securities like OAuth JWT OpenID Connect.
• Manage the full API lifecycle including creation deployment and versioning.
• Monitor and analyze API performance and usage.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for API-related issues.
• Also worked on IBM Datapower and have strong knowledge on developing services.
• Experience with Rest APIs
• Experience with WebServices.
• Experience with Implementing different Integration Design Patterns
