Job summary

A financial services company based in Dubai seeks a skilled professional for Financial Data & ERP Management. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Chart of Accounts within the Odoo system, managing daily transaction postings, and overseeing the General Ledger. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and possess advanced proficiency in Odoo ERP. The position is full-time and does not offer remote work options.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience with inventory control and bank settlements.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive monthly taxation reports.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update authorized changes to the company's Chart of Accounts within the Odoo system.
  • Ensure all daily transactions are accurately recorded in the Odoo ERP.
  • Generate and issue invoices/billings through Odoo and distribute them following internal approval.
  • Conduct bank settlements and monitor daily cash flow movements.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly management reports.

Skills

Advanced proficiency in Odoo ERP (Accounting and Inventory modules)
Strong understanding of Stock Management

Job description
Financial Data & ERP Management
  • System Maintenance: Post maintain and update authorized changes to the companys Chart of Accounts within the Odoo system.

  • Daily Postings: Ensure all daily transactions are accurately recorded in the Odoo ERP in a timely manner.

  • Ledger Oversight: Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger and all subsidiary ledgers to ensure data integrity.

Invoicing & Receivables
  • Billing Cycle: Generate and issue invoices/billings through Odoo and distribute them to relevant business units following internal approval.

  • Statements: Periodically generate account statements and follow up with business units to ensure prompt settlements.

  • Collections: Actively manage debit and credit follow-ups and lead the collection process to maintain healthy cash flow.

Sales & Field Operations Support
  • Sales Representative Settlement: Rigorously follow up on sales transactions and perform daily/weekly settlements with Sales Representatives.

  • Petty Cash: Prepare and verify all daily vouchers for petty cash expenses ensuring proper documentation and authorization.

Treasury Stock & Tax Compliance
  • Banking: Conduct bank settlements and monitor daily cash flow movements.

  • Inventory Control: Manage Stock Value through the system and lead physical stocktaking activities to reconcile physical inventory with system records.

  • Taxation: Prepare comprehensive monthly taxation reports and handle settlements with the relevant Taxation Authorities.

Reporting & Support
  • Management Support: Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management reports and handle ad-hoc financial tasks as required.

Qualifications
  • Education Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.Experience 35 years of accounting experience preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Odoo ERP (Accounting and Inventory modules).
  • Competencies Strong understanding of Stock Management and Taxation Laws.
