Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounting & Billing, the Accountant is responsible for overseeing a range of financial and accounting activities, including but not limited to annual budgetary control, payroll administration, and financial reporting. The role ensures all financial practices comply with relevant legislation, internal policies, procedures, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In addition, the Accountant 1 contributes to the development of a forward‑looking Financial Reporting and Governance divisional plan that aligns with MH’s strategic goals and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manages core financial operations, including payroll, payables, invoicing, and reporting.
• Supports budgeting, analysis, reconciliations, and cost‑efficiency efforts.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulations while improving financial systems.
• Prepares key financial statements and budget‑variance reports.
• Coordinates with teams to support budgeting and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting/Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Up to 6 years of progressive career experience, or
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a professional qualification
• Working in a relevant field within the healthcare industry
