Job summary

A leading cloud services provider is seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage relationships with ADNOC, a key player in the UAE energy market. This role requires extensive sales experience, a strong background in IT and Cloud technology, and knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector. Key responsibilities include building strategic relationships and engaging with various AWS resources. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consultative selling and large deal negotiations.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT and Cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
  • Good knowledge of the local UAE energy market.
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations.
  • Experience in consultative selling or consulting background.

Overview

AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to manage our global customer relationship with ADNOC, one of the largest Energy companies in the world, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Account Manager will be responsible for providing global business leadership and guidance, building and maintaining key relationships, developing and managing opportunities, monitoring deployment projects and engaging extended team resources.

Responsibilities

The Account Manager is responsible for teaming with the customer’s IT and Business Lines to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm while impacting all business groups. The rep will sell at the most strategic level within the account, implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation, and work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed. Development of formal case studies and other references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS is core to the role. The rep will be responsible for the whole account and related business units, working with the local and global AWS Energy & Utilities team.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of sales experience
  • Proven extensive knowledge of IT and Cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
  • Good knowledge of the local UAE energy market
  • Good knowledge of the Oil & Gas upstream business
  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organisations
  • Experience in consultative selling or consulting background
