Job summary

A recruitment consultancy in UAE is seeking experienced ABAP/FIORI Developers to create and enhance SAP applications. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in SAP development and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Responsibilities include developing ABAP code, building custom Fiori applications, and ensuring adherence to development standards. Candidates must have strong knowledge of databases and Java with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Job Summary

One of our clients in Abu Dhabi is looking for ABAP/FIORI Developers.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Develop ABAP code in‑line with the Functional Specification Document.
• 2. Build custom Fiori applications and backend ABAP programming.
• 3. Follow Development Standards while creating and enhancing ABAP programs and Fiori applications.
• 4. Create and enhance all types of SAP forms (internal and external).
• 5. Review functional consultant inputs and report on known limitations, errors and workarounds.
• 6. Simplify solution experience using SAP personas and SAP FIORI applications which include transactional and application-level functionalities.
• 7. Ensure proper documentation of developed objects (technical specification).
• 8. Configure, customize, and implement SAP FIORI applications.
• 9. Have full knowledge of workflow building procedures.
• 10. Report technical feasibility and provide effort estimation.
• 11. Provide inputs to support change authorization to the security team.
• 12. Troubleshoot and analyze live applications for further improvements.
• 13. Work on service tickets requiring Fiori and ABAP.
• 14. Perform unit testing.
• 15. Tune performance and improve code quality to enhance object performance.
• 16. Learn and gain knowledge following continuous service improvement processes.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus is preferred. Experience: Minimum 8 years in SAP ABAP/FIORI Development with strong knowledge of databases and Java. Experience managing major development or operations projects. Skills and abilities: Excellent spoken and written English, excellent computer skills, ability to identify conflicts and facilitate resolution, team development and coaching abilities, teamwork spirit, analytical thinking, and problem determination capabilities.
