The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of results, management information, and financial reporting.
2. Monitoring, reviewing, and interrogating gross margin and expenses for the company, with various stakeholders.
3. Reviewing and overseeing debtor management.
4. Ensuring the correct recording and protection of all assets of the company.
5. Reviewing the debtor department's KPIs, reports, and corrective actions.
6. Ensuring that creditors are recorded correctly and paid on time.
7. Reviewing and implementing accounts payable KPIs and reports.
8. Signing off credit applications / credit limits and mitigating any financial risk.
9. Being accountable for cost / profit center breakdowns.
10. Producing and supplying analytical financial information in interaction with the business unit.
11. Making recommendations regarding monthly results in respect of IFRS, savings, accounting policies, and risks.
12. Performing trend analysis to inform forecasting and product trends.
13. Conducting weekly analysis with FP&A and the MIS Team on gross margins and master data per SKU.
14. Reviewing and overseeing the monthly analysis of SG&A to understand and predict future expenses and compare with budget and prior year.
15. Reviewing and overseeing working capital, cash flow forecasts, and analyzing financial metrics monthly.
16. Discussing forecast results with the Sub Regional Business Head and leadership team.
17. Analyzing monthly reports with FP&A, MIS, and Commercial Heads.
18. Contributing strategic financial expertise for informed decision-making.
19. Handling insurance negotiations and coverage for assets.
20. Planning and negotiating cash loans, overdrafts, and external audits.
21. Considering IFRS implications on the business.
22. Participating in the IT steering committee and ensuring effective reporting systems.
23. Representing the company on the Board of Directors in associate companies.
24. Maintaining internal control and risk management environments.
25. Planning internal audits and improving controls from a financial perspective.
26. Managing cash in line with business needs and liaising with banks.
27. Ensuring timely statutory payments and analyzing opportunities for working capital improvement.
28. Implementing hedging strategies for foreign currency exposure.
29. Ensuring statutory statements are completed, audited, and tax obligations are met and optimized.
30. Managing finance department staffing, training, and performance appraisals.
31. Ensuring compliance with HR policies and discipline.
32. Carrying out ad hoc projects, including minority valuations and negotiations.
33. Participating in budget compilation, review, and presentation to leadership.
34. Advising on operational performance, forecasts, pricing, and demand planning in meetings.
