Senior Management Accountant

They’re growing rapidly and are now looking for a skilled and analyticalSenior Management Accountantto join their finance team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and wants to move beyond just reporting the numbers — someone who can dive deep, challenge the status quo, and influence commercial decisions.
You’ll be a key part of a small but mighty finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance and CFO to manage month-end processes, develop financial reports, and support business growth through proactive analysis and insight.
This is a strategic role that blends classic accounting with commercial impact.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Lead and coordinate the month-end close process across multiple teams and departments.
Prepare and deliver timely management accounts with full balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage VAT reporting and quarterly submissions, ensuring full compliance.
Oversee stock management, including valuation, work-in-progress, and reconciliation processes.
Monitor and manage aged debtors and creditors to maintain healthy cash flow.
Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
Partner with departmental heads to review performance and identify cost efficiencies.
Develop and refine financial reporting tools and models to improve forecasting and profitability.
Lead monthly cost review meetings and provide actionable insights to improve margins.
Support the CFO in forecasting cash flow, profit and loss, and KPI trend analysis.
ACCA or CIMA (or SA equivalent)qualified with3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE).
Experience in a fast-paced retail, eCommerce, or stock-driven environment.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Proficiency withXeroandGoogle Workspacepreferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Confident communicator with the ability to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently across international teams.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working with autonomy while collaborating across multiple business areas.
You’ll have strong attention to detail, thrive in fast-paced environments, and be confident in challenging assumptions and providing insight.
You’ll be someone who brings structure, accuracy, and commercial understanding to the finance function, playing an integral role in driving business performance.
