We are seeking a Bakery Supervisor who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket's bakery department. This includes overseeing the production of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. The supervisor will lead a team of bakers and bakery assistants, ensuring smooth operations, optimal inventory management, and adherence to food safety regulations. The role also includes maintaining an attractive bakery display and meeting customer demands for fresh products.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Supervision: supervise and lead the bakery team, including bakers and bakery assistants, ensuring they are properly trained and perform their duties efficiently.
  • Assign tasks and manage employee schedules to ensure that the bakery operates smoothly.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff on baking techniques, safety procedures, and customer service.
  • Bakery Operations and Production: monitor and adjust production schedules based on customer demand to ensure that fresh products are available throughout the day.
  • Ensure that all baking processes meet safety and food quality standards, including the correct storage of ingredients and products.
  • Create and propose new recipes to management.
  • Inventory Management: manage inventory of raw materials, ingredients, and finished baked goods.
  • Order supplies and ingredients based on demand, ensuring there is sufficient stock for daily operations while minimizing waste.
  • Implement stock rotation and proper storage procedures to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service: ensure that all baked goods meet the supermarket’s quality standards in terms of taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
