A healthcare organization in New Orleans is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure safety procedures are followed and serve as a mentor for junior staff. This job assesses patients and safely performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.
Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
Required - None. Preferred - Radiologic technology experience.
Required - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible, registered by ARRT within 90 days of employment, and temporary state license required. Current unrestricted license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue. Works in patient care areas and with specimens that could contain diseases. Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or waste depending on duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable performance of essential functions.
