Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided for those new to the optical field, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

You will help ensure a smooth patient flow and a high-quality visit for every patient. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn about the industry and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
